The railway station is on the East Coast main line with services to Cambridge and Peterborough and London Kings Cross which is some 35 minutes from this station. All the primary schools in the area are rated as either Good or Outstanding by Ofsted whilst the Nobel secondary school is rated as Good by Ofsted. Independent education is offered at Sherrards Wood School. The A1(M) J6 is some 3 miles and Stansted and Heathrow airports are 25 miles and 40 miles respectively. Stevenage is some 32 miles north of central London and has numerous town centre shops, the Westgate Shopping centre as well as out of town retailers and supermarkets such as Waitrose, Tesco and Asda.
