The village is semi-rural and this plot is on the edge of the open countryside. The village has a shop, post office, doctors and pharmacy with both Tesco and Morrisons within easy driving distance. As well as the open countryside there is high grade ancient woodland nearby, several varied habitats and a wide diversity of plants and animals. Local primary schools are generally rated as Good by Ofsted and the secondary schools of Ash Green and President Kennedy Academy are rated as good and outstanding respectively. To the South is the City of Coventry which is named as the U.K. City of Culture 2021. The City is noted for its modern Cathedral, built on the ruins of the ancient one after the Second World War, art gallery, museum, theatre, numerous sporting clubs and the Lower Precinct Shopping Centre. Independent education is offered at the King Henry V111 School and Batlake School. The Universities of Coventry and Warwick are in the City and Coventry railway station operates a service to London Euston.
