As well as local primary schools there is The Castle School rated as Outstanding by Ofsted and the Independent Wellington School. Nearby is Taunton, the County Town of Somerset. The town is noted as the home of Somerset Cricket Club and Taunton Racecourse. There is an excellent town centre for shopping which includes all the leading retailers, whilst Hankridge Farm Retail Park is close to J25.
