The Site
A detailed planning consent has been granted for a large detached house in a very desirable village location on the southern edge of Greater London. The Site

The Area
The village covers some 2000 acres of around 1200 houses spread across part of the North Downs on the southern boundary of Greater London. The village has a population of some 3000 residents with 65% of the houses in the village being detached houses. The village is a haven of rural tranquillity, with mature trees and hedgerows, open fields and farmland, winding lanes and the absence of street lighting. However, it has many amenities, including three pubs / restaurants, golf and tennis clubs, a village hall and village green, as well as a butcher’s, a post office and an Indian take-away as well as other local shops. It has easy access to central London as well as the M25 and the local railway station runs services to London Victoria. The primary school is rated as Outstanding by Ofsted and the secondary schools of Woodcote High School and The Beacon School are both rated as Good by Ofsted. Independent education is offered at Greenacre. The nearby village of Banstead has Waitrose and Sainsburys supermarkets as well as a Marks and Spencer with further amenities in Coulsdon.
