The Site

The Area
This a desirable and picturesque village on the edge of the Exmoor National Park and with views over the surrounding countryside. The village has all amenities that you would expect such as a local shop, post office, village hall pub and primary school but also a very good sports club offering the main sports plus archery and badminton. The village also has various clubs including a drama club and youth club. Barnstaple is some 13 miles to the west of the village and is the main town in North Devon with all the major High Street Retailers, The Green Lanes Shopping Centre and Sainsbury Supermarket. The town also has a theatre, is the home of Exmoor Zoo, Marwood Hill Gardens and Broomhill Sculpture Garden. As well as the state schools of Park Community School and Pilton Community College, independent education is offered at St Michael’s School and West Buckland School. Taunton is about 40 miles to the east of the village.
