The Area
The village is separated from Trowbridge by the 380 acre Country Park. It has a primary school, pub, shop, park and take-away restaurants. There are also two 19th century churches, one an interesting Gothic revival church and there is also a Grade 11 Listed gatehouse and bridge within the village. Trowbridge has all amenities including the ‘Shires Shopping Centre’, reputedly the best in Wiltshire, housing all the major retailers. Tesco and Asda are also in Trowbridge as are secondary schools, including the independent Roundstone Prep School. The City of Bath is just twelve miles from here, offering excellent shopping amenities, cultural activities as well as being a major tourist destination. In addition, Bath has two Universities, including Bath Spa.
The site has access to most main services. Wessex Water advise that no surface water connection can be made to the foul sewer system and a separate system of drainage is required to serve the proposed development. We would advise potential purchasers to make their own enquiries with regard to services prior to exchange of contracts.
